Chris Meagher, a graduate of LaSalle College High School, attended college at Arizona State University and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in History. Chris has been a licensed insurance professional since 1996. He was worked in all aspects of insurance including: life insurance, employee benefits, and property and casualty lines for both commercial and personal lines. Chris has been with E&M Insurance since 2015 and his area of emphasis at E&M Insurance is working on commercial accounts. He is committed to helping E&M Insurance LLC have strong future growth and also serve the existing clients to the highest standards.

Additionally, Chris is actively involved with La Salle College High School. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at La Salle and is a past president of the Alumni Association. Outside of work Chris relishes his time with his family; his wife Shay, and his three children: Madison, Brendan, and Ryan. He enjoys spending time with them in Stone Harbor, NJ in the summer.

Conor is a graduate of Catholic University of America were he played lacrosse. He has been with E&M Insurance since 2018. Conor comes from a background in the hospitality and restaurant business, and he uses that background to provide excellent resources for insurance coverages for the hospitality and restaurant space. Conor can also provide excellent resources to multiple business industries for insurance needs. In addition to business insurance needs, Conor has great experience in the personal insurance market. He has access to multiple companies that can provide excellent coverage at the best prices for home and auto.

When not at E&M Insurance, Conor plays golf at Huntingdon Valley Country Club. He also spends time with his wife Colleen and his son Gavin.

Al Van Horn is the former owner of Van Horn Insurance Agency. He started that agency with his father in 1978. His insurance career started in 1970 working on the carrier side of the business. Now with E&M Insurance, Al focuses on his long term clients in both eh commercial and personal lies space. Al has been agency council president of several insurance companies.

Al is a passionate and excellent golfer. He has been competitive and active in Golf Association of Philadelphia. He is a member at Commonwealth National Golf Club and Sandy Run Country Club.

Phyllis is a graduate of North Penn High School and attended William & Mary College, where she received a degree in economics. She has been in the insurance since 1981. Phyllis has a diverse background in insurance working in both personal lines but specializing in commercial insurance.. Phyllis has served on multiple agency councils in her career and is a leader among the independent insurance brokers in the Philadelphia area. She holds the AAI accreditation which is an Accredited Advisor in Insurance.

Outside of insurance Phyllis is a dedicated board member of Boys and Girls Club. She is actively involved with the North Penn, Indian Valley, and Wissahickon Boys and Girls Club. Phyllis has been married to her husband for 30 years and they have two children: Alexandra and Victor. She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and traveling with her family, gardening and spending time with her college friends.

Gerry Foley has been in the insurance business since 1977. He is a CIC accredited insurance agent. Gerry works with commercial clients and their business insurance needs and works with clients and their personal lines insurance needs. Gerry is an active member of his La Salle College High Scholl class of 1974. When not at work Gerry spends time with his grandkids at the beach and playing golf.

Peter is the former owner of Prescott Insurance Agency where he worked with his father and family. Peter started in the insurance business in 1987 and has been with E&M since 2022. He currently work as an executive account manager for his commercial lines clients and brings a great history and understanding of the business. Outside of work Peter lives with his wife in Fishtown area of Philadelphia.

Joan started in the insurance industry in 1982. She has worked on both the carrier side and the agency side. She holds licenses in Property & Casualty and also in Accident & Health. Joan holds the designation of a Certified Insurance Service Representative.

Joan is a focused and dedicated insurance professional motivated to provide superior customer service and develop long term client relationships. She has worked in all aspects of the insurance industry and will do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Joan lives in Horsham, PA with her devoted husband and two daughters and grandchildren. Joan does an amazing job of balance work and her family life. When Joan is away from the office she enjoys the beach whenever she can. She cherishes spending time with her family by the pool and vacationing together.

Brittany is a 2006 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication, and graduated from DeSales University in 2014 with a Masters of Business Arts in Marketing. She has a diverse background professionally, ranging from non-profit work to criminal law. During the pandemic, Brittany decided to start fresh in a new industry. She received her Property & Casualty Insurance license and started with E&M in January 2021 focusing on commercial lines.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her two boys traveling, attending the boys’ baseball games, and camping with friends at the Jersey shore. Brittany also enjoys volunteering for her local fire department, children’s school, and several other organizations.

Wanda started her career in insurance in 1979. She worked at both carrier and independent agencies. Wanda came to E&M in 2022 and works as a commercial lines account manager. She is dedicated to her job and her clients. Outside of work she enjoys her needlework and reading.

Jake is the newest member of the E&M team. He started in 2024 right out of college. He is a graduate of Catholic University where Jake played basketball for Catholic. He is a 2020 graduate of La Salle College High School and is active with coaching the basketball program. Jake is a commercial lines account manager and works with small businesses and personal lines. When not at work Jake enjoys playing golf and being down the Shore in Sea Isle City.

Judy has been in the insurance business since 1982 in many facets. Judy holds a license in Property and Casualty and also Life, Accident, and Health. Judy is the primary person who handles the personal lines department at E&M Insurance. Judy has access to multiple markets for homeowners, auto and personal umbrella policies. She is a certified CISR in the industry.

When Judy is not in the office she can be found in her garden or riding her Harley Davidson!

Kelly has been in the insurance business since 2005. She started on the excess and surplus markets and then oved to personal lines. Kelly joined E&M in 2024 and works with our personal lines clients and finding them the best coverage at the best price. When not at work Kelly and her fiancé spend time golfing at Commonwealth National Golf Club.

Carole is the part time receptionist E&M. She has worked in several different areas in the insurance business for over 40 years. Carole is the first voice our clients here when they call and she helps set the tone for a high standard of service at E&M. She is married to Gerry Foley and has the same shared love of children and grandchildren.
